Vertigo
I can't remember the last time I felt whole,
I can't remember the last night I had no bad dreams at all,
I always thought we would last like in the movies and the songs,
well I guess I was wrong, and more than once
Now I have to move on
but the gravity is so strong,
it pulls me down
and on and on we go,
vertigo
makes it hard to to move on,
when the memory is so strong,
it holds me down
and on and on we go
vertigo
I cannot seem to forget about your hand in mine;
in fact, to this day it haunts me all the time.
I sometimes wake up and long for your reassuring smile,
but every time it soon dawns on me: you're gone, I'm on my own
and I have to move on
but the gravity is so strong,
it pulls me down
and on and on we go,
vertigo
makes it hard to to move on,
when the memory is so strong,
it holds me down
and on and on we go
vertigo
Guess I have to move on
but I don't know how the hell am I supposed to do this?
You just linger on, stare at me from
about every piece of furniture around,
and every memory we ever made now haunts me,
and the music that we danced to is just one more nail in the coffin!
Just another fucking torment,
can't take another stupid love song!
I wanna wave good bye,
stay by your side,
make it right,
long for so long!
And on and on we flow,
on and on we go,
as always: if there is nowhere to run
we just embrace the vertigo
But it's so hard to move on
when the gravity is so strong,
it pulls me down
and on and on we go,
vertigo
makes it hard to to move on,
when the memory is so strong,
it holds me down
and on and on we go
vertigo
